Is it over between us?!
After 3 months...
When did you hear these words? Or were you the one who said it?
On Friday, I said these words to a 3-month-old relationship. The saddest part was that this was the first relationship where we met each other every week.
When you start a relationship, do you often think of the end, or do you just go through with a certainty that somehow, it’s going to end happily ever after?
Well, on Friday, I asked the difficult questions, “Is it over between us? Do we get a chance to continue?”
For me, the hardest part of a relationship ending is taking a trip down memory lane. Skip the last words, skip the vote of thanks. Just deliver it ice cold and walk away.
Don’t tell me, “I remember when we…” Trust me, I don’t want to remember, because what’s the point of walking barefoot on a path filled with broken glass?
That’s why I don’t spend time thinking about what we could have been if we didn’t end, knowing we’d never become anything like it.
So it was hard to say those words. But I had to free them from my embrace, to let them go and find themselves and finally find someone better.
I believe we owe that to everyone we claim to love, to leave them when we realise we can’t make them better. I believe that what it means to love someone, loving them enough to let them go!
So on Friday, my 3-month email marketing mentorship ended, and my heart was so heavy. Three months of meeting three times weekly and pouring into these beautiful souls.
These three months shaped my life as an email marketer, as a person, and as a Christian. I remain ever grateful to these amazing women…

Thank you for trusting me with your growth, your time, and your resources. Thank you for letting me know that I did not waste any of it.
Seeing your email designs just makes me know that you are already on the best path. That’s what makes this hurt less. Thank you for bringing out the mentor I never knew I was.
Honestly, I don’t want things to be over between us, but I know that you are properly equipped for your email marketing journeys. You’ll always have me to guide you if the need arises.
I guess this is how parents feel when their children become independent and don’t need their guidance. I’m definitely going to miss you coming to my DMs or the questions in the classes.
I’ll miss how much preparation I had to make to come to class, and guess what, those preparations brought out the best in me as an email marketer.
I guess I went down memory lane, but it was a path filled with lilies and roses, and I’ll walk it anytime, any day. I suppose even mentors must watch their mentees outgrow them. That’s the beauty of it.
As I evaluate these 3 months, there’s a lot of improvement to be made, and I know that the next group God brings to my care will meet a better me.
Finally, I thank God for making this mentorship a success. It was His Idea all along, and as always, He funded it till the end.

On Life, Healing and Growing
A weekly account of my life as a Wasseminarian.
I attended LinkedIn Local Nigeria 2025, and it was the best event I attended this year yet. My circle of friends has officially upgraded, and I am overjoyed. Can’t believe I am the one getting invitations to other events, even as far as November.
A sealed deallllllllllllllll. Somebody shout gloryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. God has done it. I thank you, Jesus, for your mercy and your faithfulness. Work has started.
Finished a 3-day fast, and it’s always worth it. I gained clarity because God sent a coach to help me through my questions.
Finished the Gospel of John, and now we’re devouring Matthew. I need to have a good understanding of the life of Christ from the four Gospels.
Until next time. With love and intention. ❤️
