Breaking Limitations
Bringing gratitude
“I am living in answered prayers.”
If you've ever heard these words or said them, then you understand what I'm about to say. And maybe you've not vocalised it but I'm sure that you've said it one way or another. Once upon a time you said…
“Congratulations to me!”
“Finally, I got it!”
“I never believed this would happen!”
“Thank you God!”
So you've said it. But the important thing is not if you've said it. Rather, that you're living in the reality of answered prayers. That you surpassed your limitations.
Every prayer you make is a limitation that you face. That's why you call on heaven to assist you. A prayer for a spouse, a job, a new home, good health etc.
Even if it's a prayer to love Jesus more, to be transformed, to help people. Every prayer is a limitation that you want to break through.

That's why prayer is a sign of humility and MUST be your first response, not your last resort. You don't pray after you've exhausted other options.
You pray before you call anyone or look for anything else. Here's an example. Yesterday I was going through a difficult phase because my business growth stalled.
And it really weighed on me. But guess what…immediately it was my prayer time, I left my workspace and went to the chapel to tell God how I felt.
And while telling him, I was so distracted by everything that I turned the petition into a conversation. I was like, “Abba, I'm even distracted talking to You. Please help me and help More Than Just Emails.”
The entire point here is that when you take a break and look at your life now, you'll see that you're living in answered prayers. You're in the reality of something you prayed for a week ago, a month ago, a year ago.
And you don't see it breaking limitations because you're comfortable with the present reality and you forget these were once limitations that threatened your peace.
And in some cases your life.
Therefore, you should remember what life was with these limitations and what life is without them. That's how to thank God for what He has done.
There's a reason why the Psalmist says,
I will remember your great deeds, Lord; I will recall the wonders you did in the past. I will think about all that you have done; I will meditate on all your mighty acts.
There's no proper thanksgiving and worship of God with reflection and remembrance. Life is lived forward but appreciated and understood backwards.
Right now, I'm praying for More Than Just Emails because I am facing a limitation and very soon if not tomorrow, I'll live in my answered prayers because the limitation was broken.
And I will remember today and yesterday when I was so sad and filled with worry. Then I will look at the present and I will say thank you God for breaking this limitation.
And soon I'll be breaking a limitation. Something I'd always prayed for. I'll be stepping into it really soon and I can't wait for Thanksgiving that will follow suit.

On Life, Healing and Growing
A weekly account of my life as a Wasseminarian.
Last week was productive I must say. I over performed at work and was duly acknowledged. I saw myself smiling sheepishly.
Registration for The Assistant Upgrade just crossed 100.
I learned something called overengineering. My AI tool flagged as a habit that reduces my productivity and I can't even doubt it
Overengineering is deciding one thing and while in the middle of that decision, you're making 5 more decisions that are either alternatives, corollaries or opposing decisions. Such that you end up getting confused or making none.
And I do this almost every time, even on calls with people. I don't know how to hold one line of thought on a matter, there'll always be comparisons, reviews, etc.
I also have another fault, over-planning. This one I am heavily working on and right now, I just realized that I haven't told the Holy Spirit about it, so that He'll help work on it and work on me. (This is an example of overengineering).
Here's an example of over-planning, I just changed one of the options in the poll from “Am I fit for marriage?” to “Working with the Holy Spirit…” and there's this itch to go and write down what I want to say so that I don't forget in case it gets chosen. (Story of my life).
These things have stalled my productivity for years and I didn't realize until now. That's why I'm usually burnt out because I'm doing tomorrow's work today and it never ends. So I don't even know when to rest.
But that is changing now, with the Holy Spirit involved.
Until next time. With love and intention ❤️
